De-stress upon arrival. With your feet on the earth, begin to connect with natureβs rhythms, inside and out. This 4-day retreat brings together Yoga Nidra, somatic movement, breathwork, sound, forest bathing, and quiet time on the land to help you return to a more natural relationship with your body.
Join us at Still Mountain Wellness Retreat for a physical, energetic, mental, emotional, and spiritual re-alignment. Through gentle practice and time in nature, you will learn how the layers of your experience influence one another, and how to meet them with more steadiness, attention, and care.
Bare feet, quiet breath, open sky, and the slow remembering of yourself.
Our property is nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains on 240 acres of private, pristine land. From the moment you arrive, the retreat begins through the body: feet on the earth, wind on your skin, sun on your face, and the sound of the river in your ears.
In daily life, many of us become overwhelmed by what is happening around us and within us. The mind moves quickly. Emotions become full. The body may become the place we leave rather than the place we live. This retreat offers a different rhythm, one that invites you to come back into contact with the body in a safe, grounded, and practical way.
Using the Pancha Kosha system of Yoga as a map, we will observe the layers of experience: body, breath, mind, intuition, and inner well-being. Through somatic practice, rest, breath, sound, and nature, you will learn to soften the pull of the chattering mind and develop a more genuine relationship with your body.
Somatic Workout on the mountain top
The body is not something to fix. It is a place to return to.
Somatic Experience
The retreat is centered on lived experience. You are not only learning ideas about the body; you are practicing ways to feel, listen, move, and settle.
Pancha Kosha Map
The yogic five-layer model gives a simple way to understand how body, breath, mind, and deeper awareness influence one another.
Nature as Co-Guide
Practice happens both inside the Yoga Temple and outside on the mountain property, allowing the land to support the process of embodiment.
Restorative Rhythm
Yoga Nidra, gentle asana, breathwork, meditation, forest bathing, sound bathing, meals, and personal time create a steady container for renewal.
This is not a fast-paced yoga weekend or a packed wellness schedule. It is a thoughtful retreat into embodiment. The focus is not performance, flexibility, or doing more. The focus is learning how to inhabit the body again with steadiness, curiosity, and kindness.
The retreat blends somatic techniques, natural movement, restorative yoga, breathwork, Yoga Nidra, forest bathing, and sound. Each practice is chosen to help you notice what is happening in the body and how to return to presence without forcing or overriding yourself.
This retreat is held by teachers rooted in lived practice, not performance. Kristin English brings decades of devotion to yoga, Vipassana meditation, natural movement, and the study of the body. Her work is grounded in service, presence, and the wisdom of nature.

This retreat is rooted in place. Still Mountain offers 240 acres of oak woodlands, quiet hills, open sky, river sounds, and a rare feeling of distance from the pressure of ordinary life. The land is not a backdrop. It is part of the retreat container.
During the spring, summer, and fall seasons, the retreat includes an excursion to a nearby Sequoia grove for forest bathing. In the stillness of the trees, the body often remembers what the mind has forgotten: how to pause, how to listen, and how to be held by something older and steadier than personal stress.
Let nature bring you into embodiment.
